Illness and misadventure provisions are available to support students who are unwell or have a valid reason that might prevent them from completing an assessment task or exam.
Illness and Misadventure Applications must be submitted within 24 hours of the in-class assessment or exam.

For students in Years 11 and 12

Complete each of the following steps if your child is unwell for an exam/assessment. This must be done if your child is ill on the day of the task or the day before the task.
- Students who are unwell must seek assistance from an independent medical practitioner who must complete this . This must be done either immediately before or after each exam/assessment. Once completed, scan or take a photo of the statement and save it to your pc or phone. You will need this in Step 2. (NB: A medical certificate is not required to be submitted alongside the Illness Evidence Statement.)

- Within 24 hours of the exam/assessment, complete and submit the . This application will need to be completed and submitted for each exam/assessment.
Please note for students who are absent the day before a task this includes being absent on a Friday when a task is scheduled on the following Monday.

- A person relevant to the situation (e.g. roadside assistance) must complete this . Once completed, scan or take a photo of the statement and save it to your pc or phone. You will need this in Step 2.
- . Click on 'Select files' and choose the completed Misadventure Independent Evidence Form.
- Within 24 hours of the exam/assessment, complete and submit the . This form will need to be completed and submitted for each exam/assessment.

For Students in Year 10

For Students in Years 7 to 9
If students are ill or this is a misadventure on the day of the assessment, parents should advise the Head of Faculty via email, on the day of the assessment.
Students who do not have a valid reason for missing an assessment / submitting an assessment, will be deducted 20% of the achieved mark for each day the assessment is late.
